Hey girl! Let’s be real—keeping a tidy home with young kids sometimes feels like a mission impossible, right?
Between the toys, snacks, and endless laundry, it’s easy to feel like the house is always in a state of almost clean.
But don’t worry, I’ve got some tips that’ll help you feel more in control of the chaos, without stressing yourself out.
And yes, you can have a clean-ish home while still living your life!
1. Involve the Kids (Yes, Really!)
I know, I know—it sounds counterproductive, but hear me out! Even the littlest ones can help in small ways. My tip? Make it fun. Turn clean-up time into a game, set a timer, and race to see who can pick up the most toys. They’ll love the challenge, and you’ll love the help.
2. Tidy as You Go
This one’s a lifesaver. Instead of letting things pile up (literally), tidy as you move through the day. Have the kids pick up their toys before moving on to the next activity. After meals, give the counters a quick wipe. Trust me, those few minutes here and there make a huge difference at the end of the day.
3. Baskets, Bins & More Bins
Baskets are my secret weapon, girl! Every room in the house has one. Got a bunch of toys lying around? Throw them in a bin. Laundry stacking up? Yep, bin it. Baskets and bins create the illusion of a tidy space without needing to go full-on Marie Kondo every single day. And the best part? It’s so easy for the kids to help with this.

With kids, stuff seems to magically multiply, right? That’s why it’s so important to declutter regularly. Once a month (or whenever you can), go through toys, clothes, and random household items. Hear me out: Having one or two areas in the house that are off-limits to kid messes can help your sanity. Whether it’s the living room or your bedroom, a clutter-free zone gives you a space to retreat and recharge.

The truth is, it’s okay if your house isn’t spotless 24/7. You’ve got young kids, after all! Some days, survival is the goal, and that’s perfectly fine. A little mess never hurt anyone, so be kind to yourself, gorgeous, and know you’re doing an amazing job!
